Greek statistics: August 2019 Greek trade information
According to Eurostat statistics, from January to August 2019, the total import and export of Greek goods was US$66.92 billion, down 2.8% from the same period of the previous year (the same below). Among them, exports were US$ 25.24 billion, down 4.1%; imports were US$ 41.68 billion, down 2.0%. The trade deficit was US$16.44 billion, an increase of 1.4%.
In August, the import and export of Greek goods was 7.22 billion US dollars, down 9.3%. Among them, exports were 2.65 billion US dollars, down 10.6%; imports were 4.57 billion US dollars, down 8.4%. The trade deficit was 1.92 billion US dollars, down 5.2%.
From January to August, the bilateral trade in goods between Greece and China was US$3.74 billion, an increase of 11.1%. Among them, Greece exported 690 million US dollars to China, an increase of 4.4%, accounting for 2.7% of total Greek exports, up 0.2 percentage points; Greece imported 3.06 billion US dollars from China, an increase of 12.7%, accounting for 7.3% of total Greek imports, up 1.0 percentage point. The Greek trade deficit was 2.37 billion US dollars, an increase of 15.4%.
As of August, China is Greece's 12th largest export destination and the fifth largest source of imports.
